As a ProTec Instructor Trainer or ProTec Instructor Course Inspector (ICI) you have the highest and most respected professional level in the sport dive industry. You may guide advanced divers to a professional future in their diving career. The selection and admission to the Instructor Trainer certification course is a subject of strict criteria.
There are two stages within this Instructor Trainer level
- The first stage, simple short named IT, authorizes you to train and teach Instructor candidates during an IDC and further enhanced Instructor levels. For each special or technical Instructor level you need also the authorization as an IT.
- As a ProTec IC Inspector you will be authorized to examine the instructor candidates during an IE. For any further enhanced Instructor levels like specials or technical, you need also the authorization as a ICI.

Prerequisites
- Minimum age is 21 years old
- Excellent diving fitness
- Medical statement
- For IT level a ProTec 2** Instructor certificate with sufficient experience
- For ICI level a ProTec IT certificate with sufficient experience
